Well today is my first day not working at SHP. I don't think it has really set that I won't be going back there any time soon. But honestly, I am looking forward to enjoying the next couple of weeks, getting ready for the holidays, and spending quality time with Jesse, my family, and friends. Friday was bittersweet, Saturday was tiring with class from 9-4 (did you see the video I posted on Instagram of my post-class activity?), Saturday night I babysat both of my nieces, so Sunday all I wanted to do was SLEEP IN! Of course, that didn't happen. With the extra hour of sleep due to daylight savings time I woke up at 6:15am and could not go back to sleep. I watched a few episodes of one of my favorite shows, Bones and then fell back asleep.
Jesse and I absolutely love our neighborhood, especially on the weekends. With the warm weather--such a change from the rain on Friday-- we walked to 24th Street to get some brunch. I have to say, there really are not a lot of great, artisanal, drool-worthy brunch spots in close walking distance, so we usually end up at Boulange. I am looking forward to finding some great brunch spots throughout the city the next couple of weeks. I also have really been craving smoothies and my next project is to find the best smoothies in SF.
I love Sundays because they are always so laid-back: you get to sleep in, there's no reason to shower or wash your hair, you just hang out and watch football, eat, clean a little bit, read, eat, nap, eat, and watch Netflix. Yesterday I was feeling pretty energetic and threw on this casual outfit to walk to brunch. I usually start an outfit with shoes and work my way up. But in this case, I threw on my favorite Marc Jacobs silk shorts (they are more comfortable than pajamas) and went from there. I live in monogram polos and sweatshirts (there's also no ironing on Sundays so that's why it's extra wrinkly) and love this Everlane sweater.
