Happy Monday and Hello December!!!! I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend! I am sure everyone enjoyed the extra days off-- this time of year they are so necessary. Now the countdown to Christmas is on (queue the Glee Pandora Station and have it be socially acceptable)!!!

My niece Camilla!

The Friday after Thanksgiving I went wine tasting with my family and my cousins in Sonoma. It's the third year in a row that we've done this and it's becoming one of my favorite traditions. The first year we went to ViansaJacuzzi Winery (sadly there's not a jacuzzi there, just good Pino Grigio, which is nice too) and Cline. Last year we went to Chateau St. Jean and Kenwood Winery. This year we went to St. Francis and Kunde

Since it was raining in the city, I wanted to be warm. During this time of year it's actually colder up north than you would think and it's important to dress in layers. I threw on my trusty Pixie Pants and favorite hat from Goorin Bros. and I was good to go. When I walked in to my parents house, my grandfather (whom we call Sir) said to me, "It takes more than a hat to be a cowgirl!" Ha!

All of these wineries are great and I highly recommend all of them. Here are what I think each winery is best for:

Viansa //  Perfect for groups. Huge outdoor area with an amazing view and great store with lots of delicious food.

Jacuzzi Winery // Perfect for couples. I would go on a double date here. Not as great for groups, but they have a nice center courtyard with couches.

Cline // Perfect if you have children with you. They have a large outdoor space with a pond with ducks and they even have a museum of the history of the Sonoma Mission (it just takes me back to 4th grade mission projects.)

Chateau St. Jean // Perfect for a romantic date with your partner. Gorgeous grounds and private nooks to curl up together and drink some rosé. This winery is also very popular for weddings.

Kenwood Winery // Perfect for the low-key wine tasting experience. Pretty quiet and not one of the most popular spots, but still gorgeous.

St. Francis // Perfect for the person who doesn't want to sip and would rather shop. I loved all of their items for sale, especially the holiday pieces. They have the best shopping experience.

Kunde // Perfect for the people who like to sip on wine and play corn hole or life-size Jenga. They also have tours and tastings that take you up to to the top of the mountain.

I realized I have more to say about wineries-- I mean, I just scratched the surface on Sonoma wineries. I'll do another post on more wineries soon. Oh, and one on Napa wineries too. In the meantime, shop my favorite wine inspired pairs!
