Caroline Curran, Perfect 10 SF
Style: Timeless preppy popped-collar chic with an eye for sparkle and color.
Backstory: Perfect 10 SF blogger Caroline Curran is a San Francisco native with two very different hometown style influences. On one hand, she mentions the "iconic gray skirts" of her uniform at Convent of the Sacred Heart as informing her love of classic American basics ("from J. Crew to Alexander Wang's very Convent-looking separates"), but on the other, growing up in the Castro gave her an appreciation of over-the-top, high-wattage glamour. "I'm a little Pacific Heights, a little drag queen," Curran laughs. The blogger's favorite looks combine traditional, feminine silhouettes with bold palettes and are always finished off with that "perfect 10" shoe and a brightly painted lip. "I'm never without lipstick," Curran says, smiling through her MAC Zen Rose mouth.
Details: Curran is wearing "a favorite coat for cold Noe Valley mornings" from J. Crew with leggings also from J. Crew, a Banana Republic heritage sweater and her favorite Alexander Wang white button-down. Curran is a longtime slipper admirer; her Stanford footwear is by J.P. Cricket. A firm believer in mixing, Curran paired costume pearls by Kate Spade and everyday bangles with her favorite Burberry watch, Tiffany silver bracelets and her signature sapphire class ring from Convent.
I am honored and excited to share this piece from the San Francisco Chronicle! I was lucky enough to be featured in Sunday's Style Section as the #sfstyle profile and share my San Francisco style.
I had a blast shooting the photos, getting to know the fabulous Tony Bravo and swapping stories about growing up in San Francisco (he is a fourth generation San Franciscan!). I was grateful that Jesse could pop over from his WeWork Office and watch the shoot. A very special thank you to Tony and Russell Yip, San Francisco Chronicle photographer for the special experience and beautiful photos!
PS- Mark your calendar for the Perfect 10 SF x Ambiance SF Party on August 13.
