Happy Sunday!! I hope everyone is having a great day! I'm in bed right now reading, writing, and thinking about the coming weeks (follow Perfect 10 SF on Instagram for more photos). Jesse is at work right now with his co-founder and they are planning out their goals for BuildingConnected for 2015. It is so wonderful to have an amazing husband who is so driven and truly enjoys working hard. Last night we were in bed on our laptops watching Guardians of the Galaxy and working on our respective companies- some might say that it's a bad sign- but we both disagree. We love working on our projects and love helping one another. We will always talk through our thoughts and it's really great to have someone listen with a fresh perspective.
We've spent most of the break working, hanging out in Bodega Bay, or in my absolute favorite spot- Golden Gate Park. I know I talk about Golden Gate Park a lot, but it truly is my happy place. Growing up in the city, my mom would take all five kids to the park every Sunday when my dad was holding an open house. Since they close the main street of the park every Sunday, we would ride our bikes, scooters, and roller blades. When I was training for my first (and only) half marathon in 2012, I would run the distance of the park. Now my favorite thing to do is visit the de Young, walk around the Concourse, and spend time at Stowe Lake (you can read more about that from my post a few months ago for ModCloth).
Although it's been sunny in the city, it's been pretty cold. I've been living in my Pixie Pants and Rag & Bone boots and, of course, a vest. I swear, my sisters and I brought vests back in style. We've been wearing them for years. My actual favorite one is my North Face black puffy vest. You can call it basic, but I call it necessary. It is SO warm and I love that it stuffs into the pocket- it's perfect for traveling, camping, hiking, or just every day wear. I've had that trusty vest since 1997!!! Now you can find vests at any store, but it wasn't always the case. I think I started wearing vests in 7th grade because they wouldn't let us wear jackets over our school uniform but they would let us wear vests (I think it was all because of my friend Andie because she broke her elbow and could only wear vests). Once you go vest, you never go back!
Now I'm headed off to run a few errands and then meet Jesse to head to GGP! Happy Sunday! xo, Caroline
