Sharing some of my favorite places and things on this wonderful Tuesday! Also, some random thoughts too!
One // On Sunday Jesse and I had a great day going around the city. We had the best day, maybe because our morning started out taking engagement photos for my Claire and Mike (read about their engagement here!). Jesse was the photographer and I was the make-up artist and creative director. It was such a blast. After our morning shoot, we headed to Sweet Woodruff on Sutter in the TenderNob area. Our friend Meagan recommended it to us-- it's from the same people of Sons & Daughters and The Square (which is next on my list). Jesse got the egg sandwich and I got the burger- both were delicious!! Added bonus besides the delicious food: if you Instagram a photo and tag it #sweetwoodruffsf you get a free mimosa! Don't worry, I just got OJ. I was telling everyone around me about it!
Two // My favorite ice cream place in the city is Mitchell's. Yesterday I had a few meetings and was driving home and passed it. I pulled into the parking lot, thought better about it and left. I'm trying to stay away from sweets. I can't wait to pop over to my old stomping grounds in Hayes Valley and try the frozen greek yogurt from Souvia.
Three // I've posted about it a bunch, but hot chocolate has been my savior/ treat/ now, daily habit and I'm thinking I need to get a reusable mug. I like this one and of course this one since I have cold hands. My grandpa would always say to me, "You know what they say: cold hands, warm heart."
Four // Have your Valentine's Day reservations yet? You better make those stat! For our first date Jesse took me to flour + water and we go back every year on the anniversary of our first date. It's a great spot and would be perfect for Valentine's day (or any day!).
Five // A few weeks ago we had dinner at Mission Chinese with our pals Kevin and Nicole (read about them here). We had an absolute blast catching up. I honestly couldn't tell you what we ate- I was so engaged in our conversation. The place is a little kitschy, but delicious. Since Nicole is a private chef, I usually defer to her to order. Check it out or call for delivery- I swear there was an employee going out the door with bags and bags of delivery every time I looked up.
Six // Speaking of Nicole, I've mentioned this a few times on Perfect 10 SF, but she is an accomplished private chef, food stylist, and cooking instructor. Check out her website for Kindred Table and follow on her Instagram for daily inspiration. I LOVED this post on her blog Table Talk and had to share the photo on my Instagram account!
Seven // Avant Barre has been on my radar forever and I have been dying to take a class, but somehow my schedule has been too busy. I highly suggest you check them out. They are an up-beat, positive exercise studio in the SOMA area that is sure to make you feel better! I also love that the founder Nini is a Bay Area native and went to SI and Santa Clara!
Eight // THE hot spot to eat in San Francisco is not a restaurant, it's at the magical dinner party that is Lazy Bear. I feel like a real foodie because I actually had Lazy Bear way before this spot opened! The holiday party at Jesse's previous company was a private dinner in an art gallery. I don't remember too much from the dinner, I'm obviously never going to be a food critic, but a few fun facts. My friend Hope from Marmalade Boutique designed the new Lazy Bear location (read about her here) and Lazy Bear is an anagram of the chef's last name! Ha- that gives you a real glimpse into my memory. People, places and names I'll always remember. Numbers, facts, food I'll never remember!
Nine // The cocktail spot I've been wanting to try is Trick Dog. All of the drinks are named after SF neighborhoods. Who wants to join me? #mocktailsonly #perfect10sf
Ten // SPORTS BASEMENT!!! YES, IT'S ONE OF MY FAVS AND ONE OF YOURS! Join me this Thursday for a 20% discount. 6:30pm at the Presidio! Get all of the details here!!!
