Happy Thursday! I thought I would throw it back a few weeks and share with everyone the beautiful invitations and thank you notes from my baby shower that my sisters threw for me and Baby Coco. My youngest sister Claire, whom many know as the event planner in the group (you can check out her website here), wanted to have a Parisian-influenced shower and selected these "Oh Bebe" invitations from Minted.com and used them as a starting point for the style of the party! We had crepes, mimosas, and french desserts (it would have been perfect to have pastries from Choux, but I discovered them after the desserts had been ordered!). What I found really funny was that two of my family friends were unable to attend the shower because they were actually in Paris!! We raised a glass in their honor as everyone at the party tried to recall as much high school French as they could. My mom was the clear winner (did I ever share about the time we were backstage at the Celine Dion show in Las Vegas and my mom started talking to Celine in french? More on that later!).
I had an amazing shower and received very thoughtful, elegant, and special gifts and I wanted to thank everyone in a similar manner. I love these matching Merci Beaucop thank you notes and when I saw them, had to have them! I felt like they captured the fancy, fun, and elegance of the party.
I absolutely love printed stationery and even had an Etsy shop years ago, The Fine Print, where I sold thank you notes and custom stationery. I'm pretty sure I sold a whopping four orders! For our wedding, Jesse and I had the special experience of designing all of our printed materials from our save the date to the invitations and mad libs rsvp card to the thank you notes. It was a nice bonding experience and made our invitations even more special.
For a minute I thought about asking Jesse to work on some thank you notes with me, but in my heart I knew that it would be pretty time consuming and I couldn't bear to ask him because I knew he would oblige.
Instead, I decided to go with Minted. I was actually very excited to order from them- they have an amazing selection, an easy customization process, high quality, and most importantly to me- fast shipping! I was pleasantly surprised when my order arrived two days after I pressed purchase!
I've gotten almost all of my thank you notes out the door- just two more to send because I am waiting on addresses (I want to create an app that stores everyone's mailing addresses in a very easy way. Like if someone texts you their address it auto populates the information in this app)!!
Since I had such an amazing experience with Minted I wanted to share with Perfect 10 SF readers an exclusive code to receive a discount. Use code Perfect10 to receive a 10% discount! The timing is perfect to get something special for Mother's Day, Bachelorette invitations, birthday parties, and more!
I loved using Minted and was delighted to learn that there is so much more than just perfect products! There are perfect people behind the stationery, textiles, and prints. Read more about Minted here.
Minted is a design marketplace. We source creative content from a global community of independent artists, then sell the best content in the form of art, home décor, and stationery, directly to consumers. An early pioneer of crowdsourcing, Minted has held art and design challenges monthly since April 2008. Challenges are open for both submission and voting, the 'crowd' curates Minted's product selection by rating products, and Minted utilizes analytics to evaluate votes.
