Michelle is one my best friend's in the whole entire world. We were introduced almost 10 years ago when my older sister Caitlin suggested that I go visit her "friend and amazing stylist, Michelle." Little did I know that my hair and life would change forever!
Michelle is the most gorgeous, talented, humble, brilliant, thoughtful, and diligent woman I know. She is a bay area native, graduated from UCLA and then Vidal Sassoon, and began working in San Francisco. She left that salon to become her own boss and about a year ago, opened up her own salon, Lyon Street Salon. I am blown away by her business savvy, dedication, persistence, and heart.
People always compliment me on my hair color and I am always torn whether or not to share the amazing secret that is Michelle. She is already so busy that I don't want to compete with anyone else to get appointments but I also want to promote my best friend and female entrepreneur.
On top of running every aspect of her own business, she is pregnant and welcoming a baby girl this summer. I have no idea what I am going to do when she is on maternity leave this summer. I told her I was going to bring a wig for her to color and I would wear that until she returns in October.
I am truly blessed to have Michelle in my life because of her talent with making me look beautiful, but also because of the support and advice she has given me over the years. I am a pretty private person (you might be asking yourself, "then why do you have a website, dodo?!) and Michelle is the one person (besides my sisters) that I can really open up to. She always has the best insight and advice and she is a perfect 10!
She has supported me in every endeavor and of course, she did my hair for my wedding. This is how thoughtful she is-- she checked us into our honeymoon suite before our wedding and left us a wedding night gift basket with snacks, tylenol, and 50 shades of grey-- she truly is perfect! Here are her perfect 10 pairs!
I love these loafers in navy. They make a perfect transition from day to night, thanks to the metallic accents, and their masculine silhouette is softened by the gold piping. Super urban and on-trend thanks to the Native American inspired design elements.
These classic wedges are timeless and extremely flattering. Great for elongating the leg in a short summer dress (I'm thinking pool party in wine country) or adding height when wearing this season's latest maxi-dresses. Not too fussy but very ladylike.
Rag & Bone does a fantastic job of updating the gladiator sandal. The crocodile stamp on the instep strap is playful and modern without looking garish. Perfect with a pair of denim shorts or for walking around town without looking sloppy.
